Rockwell recognises that while services and merchandise are in high demand, the fear of infection is as real as ever. Their compromise? Stringent new protocols at Power Plant Mall, The Grove, and Arton Strip. Not to mention, a new form of delivery service available at Power Plant Mall.
Welcome to the first week of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ). If you’re a little anxious about stepping outside, don’t worry. We are too. While we miss normal life — the old normal — the fact of the matter is, we can’t go back quite yet.
Manila is slowly easing restrictions amid this confusing time, opening up key sectors to address the needs of consumers while slowly warming up the economy. After the Filipino “mall culture” was put to a halt last March 15, 2020, people around the Metro have been itching to return to their usual routines. Of course, that doesn’t mean safety should be disregarded.
High-tech Safety Measures
On top of the usual restrictions (temperature checks, social distancing, use of face masks, and routine disinfection of common areas) Rockwell malls have already put into place, management has also stepped up their game by introducing routine disinfection every 15 minutes. Personnel will be using the special US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-grade disinfectant on elevators, escalators, walls, and other frequently touched surfaces.
Elevators at Power Plant Mall, Arton Strip, and The Grove will be equipped with anti-bacterial diffusers and will only allow four passengers at a time. Escalators will have UV handrail sanitisers and new restroom protocol will only allow four people at a time inside. All cubicles, countertops, and sinks will be disinfected after every use. For their protection and for ours as well, all staff and employees will be wearing PPEs upon entry.
Rockwell In & Out Service
Rockwell is also introducing a new service called Rockwell In & Out starting May 20, 2020. Customers can place their orders at stores in Power Plant Mall then simply do a quick pick-up while staying inside their vehicles. A centralised area at P1 Level Car Park (near True Value) will be designated for this.
To utilise Rockwell In & Out service, visit bit.ly/StoreOrderGuide to check open slots and contact numbers of participating merchants. Settle your payment through the store. Visit Power Plant Mall and head over to the centralised area with the ticket stub presented to you by security (upon entrance). Inform the store of your car slot number and wait for a store representative to bring you your items.
Santolan Town Plaza
San Juan City’s Santolan Town Plaza is also set to open on the 21st of May. They will open their doors from 11:00AM – 6:00PM daily until the 31st of May. Further announcements to follow at the end of the month for operation schedules in June.
