I have been working in Rockwell for more than 18 years already. When I first started here, it was just the old power plant and the West Block was still under construction. The only building that was already built was the Rockwell Information Center, which was also our office that time. The employees were around only 41, as compared to the more than 900 people now. The employees here are very kind and I feel that I am valued here. It’s really the culture in Rockwell that makes me love my job. Also, the President, Mr. Padilla, makes sure that he meets with us every December to have a gathering and gives award if we deserve it.

Rockwell is my choice destination after work because of its proximity to my office, ample parking, it’s not too crowded, it has a great selection of restaurants, and I always stop by the chapel to say a little prayer. I also like the crowd in Rockwell—refined, not loud. For a great steak dinner, Mamou, of course. For wine and pica pica, Barcino. My current fave is the Japanese ramen house Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen.

Residing at the Lofts in Joya North, we are conveniently situated across the Power Plant Mall so we find ourselves going there at least three to four times a week. I enjoy going to the gym either at the Rockwell Club or Joya. My family loves Santis. Our go-to restaurants at the mall are Yabu, Kaya, Wild Ginger, Kuratake, and Boon Tong Kee. We are are also happy with the new restaurants that just opened: Fireside and TuanTuan, which we found very good.

I love going to the gym, so most of the time I’m at Rockwell Club, boxing. My favorite dining destination is Rambla. Their food is very particular and perfect for a healthy and fast meal.

Rockwell is my one-stop shop when I need to do multiple errands and accomplish a lot within a short amount of time. I’m really all over the mall, all the time. I can accomplish a lot while my daughters and husband are doing something on their own—perhaps shopping or watching a movie. I can’t just narrow down my best dining experience to one! For Japanese it’s Kuretake and when craving a burger and classic nachos, it’s Chili’s, for sure. Other times its Mamou, Grace Park, Kafe Batwan, and Milky Way.
